MinniYogi is partnering with Meg Haywood Sullivan, Artist and Sustainability Strategist. Join us for a truly unique class which will blend art, science, and mindful movement. All ages are welcome!

Chrissy and Meg will kick off the class with a captivating visual presentation of three newly discovered species! We’ll move on to our breath work and, yoga poses! Get ready to swim through the sea like fishes and sneak through the grass like snakes! Partner and group poses will also be included!

Our craft will be to create your own new species using paints and clay. Remember to wear your art-friendly attire! We'll wrap up our session by showcasing our artwork together. We're excited to have you join us!

Meg Haywood-Sullivan
With over fourteen years of experience in the non-profit and photography industries, I've dedicated my life's work to the convergence of art and science, aiming to inspire action through meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future.

Born into a family of professional creatives, my summer jobs were teaching art at North River Arts in Massachusetts. Seeking new adventures, I embarked on a career as a professional snow sports photographer. Witnessing the devastating effects of climate change – shorter winters and receding glaciers – ignited a nearly two-decade commitment to climate advocacy. As an environmentalist, I spearheaded educational campaigns at Protect Our Winters, traveling across America to educate students about climate change and policy solutions. In 2018, I co-founded Plastic Free Fridays, a movement that empowers individuals against single-use plastics.

Currently I’m finalizing my graduate degree at Harvard, where I've been exploring the power of community-driven environmental action. Leveraging my artistic background, I integrate creative storytelling with scientific communication, a unique blend that breaks down barriers and inspires diverse communities. During my time at Harvard, I studied the potential of TikTok to build researcher-Gen Z alliances. My work contributed to a groundbreaking study published in Open Science Framework and featured in The New York Times. This experience solidified my understanding of how innovative communication strategies can bridge the gap between science and the public.

Chrissy Sullivan
Chrissy is a certified Vinyasa Yoga instructor with an additional specialization in youth and mindfulness. She has two beautiful babies who can often be found flowing beside her. Ever since she was a child herself, Chrissy has been drawn to a more spiritual and artistic way of life. She is greatly influenced by her grandmother, a lifelong montessori teacher and her great aunt, a Harvard professor and yoga guru. As a true nurturer, Chrissy has always been drawn to helping others. She believes it’s so important to start with our youth. If we can teach children the basic principles of yoga and how to calm their own central nervous systems we can directly benefit their lives and our communities as a whole. Chrissy created MinniYogi in 2020, a carefully curated yoga program for children and caregivers of all ages. The program includes flashcards which teach the child and caregiver the basics of yoga and meditation and how to apply them to everyday life. Chrissy incorporates the cards in all of her classes. Come join us for lots of silliness and learning! Because children learn best when having fun!
