North River Arts is proud to present “It’s a Shore Thing”- Tuesday Plein Air Painter’s Group Exhibit at the Dolphin and Clemens Galleries at the Hingham Public Library (66 Leavitt St (rt. 228) Hingham Ma). The exhibit will hang Saturday, April 6 -Thursday, May 2 with an opening reception- on Thursday, April 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
The Tuesday Painters is a group of 14 South Shore artists dedicated to painting from life and capturing on location the unique quality of light present at the moment they are painting, which can change rapidly due to weather conditions, time of day or the shifting of shadows.
On any given Tuesday morning, the artists can be found, gathering together with painting gear in hand, at the harbors, coves, marshes and beaches on the South Shore, Cape Cod and beyond, using their painting medium of choice to capture the inspiration and beauty of the landscape.
Artists include Joreen Benbenek, Denise Byrnes Graham, Betty Rogers, Nancy Sargent Howell, Betty Edwards Tufankjian, Teri Hensick, Jeanne MacFarland, Linda Mehl Bornstein, Marguerite Moore, Margaret Farrell Bruno, Cindy McEachern, Tina Watson, Mary Jo Wildes and Sally Dean Mello.
