Join Focus on Figures Judge, Laurel Stern Boeck, for a 2-hour demonstration. In this demo Laurel will be painting a portrait in oil using a live model. She will demonstrate and explain her artistic process while painting. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn through observation. 

Award-winning artist Laurel Stern Boeck is known as one of the nation’s foremost Portrait Painters. From her earliest years, Boeck has been fascinated with the human subject and the art of portraiture. Educated at the prestigious Art Students League and receiving a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from the School of Visual Arts in New York, Boeck now boasts a client list that includes prominent leaders in the fields of business, government, and education. Her work can be seen in major capitols, banks, board rooms, universities, supreme courts, private homes, and Washington institutions.
