A small works summer exhibit and silent auction to benefit the North River Arts Society

August 8 – September 5

Exhibit Open Mondays – Thursdays 9am-1pm and Sundays 12pm-2pm

Important Dates:

• Drop Off - July 30, 6-8pm, OR August 1, 9am-11am

• Opening Party - August 8, 6pm

• Bidding Open/Gallery Open - August 8 – 28, Mondays - Thursdays 9am-1pm and Sundays 12-2pm
• Bidding Ends - August 28, 12 noon
  
• Artist Reveal - August 31 – September 5
  
• Closing Party - September 5, 6pm

Thinking Outside the Box is thinking freely, not bound by old rules or practices. This exhibit encourages North River Arts Society artists & friends to do that by creating art outside their usual medium or style. To make the auction even more intriguing, artwork will be identified by number only. The artists’ names won’t be revealed until the silent auction ends, challenging viewers to trust their instincts and bid on what they like.

The Guidelines:

• Use the 8”x8” Gatorboard square provided by NRAS as the base of your work
• Do not sign your work
• Do not frame your work
• Do not mount your work onto or paint over the entry number on the back
• Deliver your artwork dry to the touch so it can be scanned at NRAS

The Frame Center of Hanover has generously offered to dry mount your work onto the gatorboard if you wish. Please remember that this may take some some so please plan ahead – don’t wait until the last minute
