Online Entry: The entry form, digital image and payment of entry fee must be submitted to Show Submit. NRAS suggests that you go to showsubmit.com in advance to set up an account, if you don’t already have one, and familiarize yourself with the entry process. It is really quite easy. Only jpeg image files will be accepted. Image should be of artwork only, no frames or mats showing
Cost: $20 for first entry, $10 for each additional entry.
Eligibility:

Artwork must be originally conceived and drawn and the artist’s original work from conception through execution. The artwork must not be a copy or likeness of another’s work, or derived from a published painting, drawing, photograph, digital image, or print.

Artwork must be two-dimensional.
Artwork, including frame, must not exceed 40” in neither width nor height.
There is no requirement for year of artwork creation.

Artwork that has appeared in a previous NRAS exhibition can be entered. Artwork that has previously won an award, may be entered. Artwork exhibited in this exhibit may be entered in future NRAS exhibits.

Artwork completed in a classroom or workshop is ineligible.
Members whose artwork was on posters prior to 2018, may apply. Members whose work appeared on the last 5 posters (years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024) are ineligible

Artists can submit up to 5 pieces. Up to 2 may be chosen for exhibit in the GAR Hall and in the online exhibit on NRAS website.
All forms of artwork are allowed. Artwork may be sold through this exhibit, with a 30% commission to NRAS.
NRAS reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable or that does not meet entry criteria. Prints (reproduced from original artwork) are not acceptable.
Ownership of artwork submitted for the poster competition will remain with the artist. North River Arts Society reserves the right to reproduce and publish the artwork chosen for the Festival poster.
